Both series of this richly illustrated work, complete in six volumes. Uniformly
bound in 1/2 brickcolored morocco, gilt spines, raised bands. Light rubbing of
spine extremities, some small chips in the leather at top and bottom of spines,
else a very attractive set. Contents are bright and clean, with scarcely any
foxing except on the endpapers. Two of the folding plates in the sixth volume
(the volume of plates to accompany the 2nd series) have small tears which have
been crudely repaired with plastic tape, one is torn and not repaired, there
are light smudges in the margins of a few others, else
contents are near Fine. Each volume bears the handsome bookplate of Stourbridge
Library. There are no other library markings. This is the 2nd edition of the
first series, the 1st edition of the second series. $600.00
